A veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America', for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

Here you can read a sample of SPOOKS. When you've finished, just go to the "start a new thread" box at the bottom of any page and leave your opinion about what you've read. We will be checking the comments regularly; your opinions are very important to us. And although it's not required, I'd appreciate it if you'd leave at least your initials or your screen name on your comment. It's kind of hard to thank "Anonymous". Thank you.
I know some of you have your copies of SPOOKS and wish to leave a comment. Other folks don't have copies of the book yet and are only reading the sample pages contained here, so I ask you, please restrain yourselves from saying anything about the ending of the book in your comment.
Jim

NAVIGATION - Once you get used to it, finding your way around Pathfinder's Place is pretty easy.
To the left, in the box labeled "Site pages" are the titles of the main pages of this wiki. The pages with arrows in front of them have sub-pages under them that will appear when you open the first page. (There are 3 Book Review pages and 4 Chapter pages.)
Pages with just a dot are only one page. The tool-bar across the top is pretty much self-explanatory.

(Feb. 2008) SPOOKS AWARDED FIVE STARS BY THE MILITARY WRITER'S SOCIETY of AMERICA - To read the review by this august body of writers, go to the navigation bar at upper left and click "Book Reviews."

How can I buy SPOOKS? - (5/20/09) Unfortunately, until I find a new Agent/Publisher, you cannot order a copy from your favorite book store by asking for it by title and Author, James P. Slusser, cannot; Sr. ; but you can order used copies on-line from Amazon.

(May 20 2009) LEATHERNECK PUBLISHING ANNOUNCES BANKRUPTCY - In this sagging economy, even the best can fail. And even though the majority of the staff are dedicated military veterans, and, I might add, decorated heroes, Leatherneck just isn't big enough to qualify for a Government bail-out.
I still have a couple dozen copies of SPOOKS at hand, which are available for sale to you or your friends. Just drop me a note here or at pathfinderfour@gmail.com , to make arrangements.
